TO SAVE ONESELF FROM HARMING OTHERS AND TO PRE-PLAN TO GIVE OTHERS COMFORT

PRISTINE ADVICES OF  HADHRAT MOULANA  MASEEHULLAH SAHEB KHAN RAHMATULLAAHI ALAYH

It is mentioned in Hadeeth:

A (TRUE) MUSLIM IS THAT PERSON FROM WHOM OTHER
MUSLIMS ARE SAFE FROM (THE EVIL OF) HIS TONGUE
AND HANDS.

The instruction in this Hadeeth is to save yourself from harming
other Muslims. In fact, such plans and methods should be
adopted that other Muslims will become happy. Now see what is
happening; every person is engaged in trying to harm the next
Muslim brother and hurting his feelings. There is especially no
control over the tongue.

A person spends most of his time in
futile speech and discussions. Nowadays Gheebat (backbiting)
and attacking the honour of another Muslim has become very
common, whereas the Hadeeth has mentioned:

GHEEBAT IS MORE SEVERE THAN ZINA

Some poor fellow committed Zina and he acknowledges it as a
sin. He regrets, makes Taubah and the Taubah is accepted. But
you are spreading this about him wherever you go and to
whomever you meet. You are not bothered about harming
another Muslim and to make it worse, you do not even consider
it to be a sin so you do not get the Taufeeq of repenting. You
think to yourself that I am only saying what is in him (not
lying), but this is exactly what Gheebat is, otherwise it will be a
false accusation (slander)! To spend one’s life hurting other
Muslims and not even considering it a sin; to consider a major
sin as trivial, isn’t it worse than Zina?

The discussion started with this that to save oneself from
harming others and to pre-plan to please others is mentioned in
the Hadeeth (above). Putting this together with another portion
of a Hadeeth:

أَفْشُوا السَّلََمَ وَأَطْعِمُوا ال عَََّدمَ

SPREAD THE SALAAM AND FEED (OTHERS)

It will mean to save others from your harm and for the safety
and happiness of your Muslim brother, spread the Salaam (the
message of peace and protection). Obviously Salaam is made
from the mouth (tongue) and feeding others is done by the
hands, which is an instruction in giving others joy and
happiness.
