Mufti Hashim Boda Saheb دَامَت بَرَکاتُہُمُ

💠 Sins are so despicable that Allah سبحانه و تعالى says in the Qur’aan Kareem:
After you have brought Imaan, the word  “sin” should not even come on your tongue.
Merely the word “sin” shouldn’t even be used.
It not a nice word for a person of Imaan to use.

💠 We are Insaan. We fall short many a times.
Our nafs over power us.
shaytaan overpowers us.

💠 The best way is to turn to Allah سبحانه و تعالى
We have two options:
shaytaan sinned. he transgressed the command of Allah سبحانه و تعالى and accordingly he became shaytaan.
Allah سبحانه و تعالى pointed out his error and very lovingly, kindly enquired from him:
“Why are you refusing to make sajdah to Adam عليه سلام
I have ordered you to do so”

Huffing and puffing, ranting and raving, shaytaan launched a very disgusting attack against Allah’s command, and he tried to disprove Allah سبحانه و تعالى, and he tried to undermine the authority of Allah سبحانه و تعالى.
Because of this attitude, he became  shaytaan.

💠Adam عليه سلام also made an error.
Allah سبحانه و تعالى told and instructed him:
(Now this is very important)
“Don’t even go near the tree that I forbade you to eat from.
Once you go near the tree, you are going to be tempted.

💠From this we understand, don’t go to places, don’t associate with people, who, as a habit, indulge in sins, celebrate sins, and who propagate their sins. We are going to harm ourselves. Its just a matter of time, whereby we will get tempted to join them in their sinning.

💠The route Adam  عليه سلام took after Allah سبحانه و تعالى admonished him,
“Oh Adam and Hawa عليه سلام , did I not tell both of you that shaytaan is your open enemy. Why did you follow him?

💠They recited the duaa “Oh Allah forgive us”

💠When shaytaan’s transgression was pointed out, instead of lowering himself, adopting a tone and manner of humility, he huffed and puffed with pride.

💠When Adam عليه سلام committed a mistake, he adopted the very opposite attitude of shaytaan.

💠Adam’s عليه سلام  tauba was accepted,
and shaytaan was rejected until the day of Qiyaamah.

💠Before going to sleep, speak to Allah سبحانه و تعالى
Oh Allah, whatever ni’mats I have is from You.
I’m not deserving of these ni’mats of Imaan, health, wealth, aulaad (children), a home, a business, people who love me, family, friends. I don’t deserve these ni’mats from You.
It’s only Your Kindness and Mercy upon a sinner like me, that you lavish me with all these great blessings.
Oh Allah, whatever I have done wrong, and I have committed alot of sins during the day. I hope from Your Mercy, that You forgive me.
I admit/acknowledge my sin.
Nabi ﷺ  had no sin, but he was so humble, he said I acknowledge my sin, my short comings.

💠If we take the route of this duaa, إنشاء اللّهُ our hearts will be alive and slowly, slowly our hearts will catch alight to the concept of what sins are and what Tauba is.
