Younus Bin Abdul A’la says: “We went to a mayyit [deceased/funeral]. A sheet was placed over the mayyit. Upon seeing this Imaam Shaafi’ spontaneously uttered: ‘O Allah! You are not in need of him [the deceased]. But he is in need of you. Therefore, forgive him.”
