Distribution of meat

Question: We were 7 people who shared one cow. We did not weigh the prtions. We assumed the portions to be equal and distributed it amongst our selves. Was this correct?
Answer: No, this was sinful and involves interest. The meat has to be equally shared by weighing each persons share. If one person wants the head and skin, then meat will be taken away from his share to the equivalent of the head and skin.
