Treating a Masjid as a museum

Question: In our locality we have a Masjid which is very old and was built by the previous dynasty. It has now become a monument and people are taken for tours in the Masjid. The tour guides charge for their services. Is this permissible? Non-Muslims also come to the Masjid. 

Answer: This is absolutely NOT permissible. Masaajid have not been built for this Haraam activity.
