An In-Depth Guide for Those Performing Haj

The Fardh Nature of Haj
Haj, like Salaat, Saum and Zakaat, is a rukn (constituent) of Islam and it is fardh ain.

It is fardh once in a lifetime for a person who Allah Ta’ala has given that much of wealth with which he is able to go to Makkah Mukarramah and return, and he is able to provide for the expenses of his family at home till his return. There are other conditions as well which will be explained further on.

Haj being fardh is proven from the Qur’aan, from the Hadeeth, by Ijma’ and logically.
