A Clean-Shaven Haafiz Saheb’s Taraweeh Imaamat

Question: What is the ruling regarding performing the Taraweeh Salaah behind a Haafi who shaves his beard?

Answer: Shaving the beard (or trimming it less than a fist) is Haraam. The person shaving (or trimming) his beard is regarded as an open-sinner in the Shari’at. It will therefore NOT be permissible to appoint such a person as the Imaam. [Shaami]

And Allah Ta’ala knows best.
