So How Sweet Does Victory Taste Oh UUCSA?

Oh UUCSA, did you fall into Sajdah when the news that our Masaajid will remain closed reached you?

Did you make your iftar happy in the knowledge that her ‘ladyship’ quoted your ‘friends of the court’ submission so extensively in her judgment?

Have you struck a blow for true Islam against a reckless, backward, extremist ideology that sought to discredit Islam?

Do you taste the sweetness of Imaan knowing you stood bravely to represent Islam?

I ask, oh UUCSA, what motivated your vociferous challenge?

Was it out of fear for Allah- or fear for his creation?

Was it seeking honour from Allah- or from his creation?

Was it a convenient opportunity to settle old scores with those that opposed you in the past and establish yourself as the ‘true representatives of the Muslims’?

So where to now?

You have successfully recorded in the court papers that attending the masjid is not an obligation but merely ‘a sunnah’.

This will set the tone with future generations where children will tell their parents to ‘get off my back about going to the masjid. It’s only sunnah’!

The court papers will bear testimony against Muslims seeking to build Masaajid in communities where the applicants will be informed that there is no need for a masjid. It’s not obligatory to pray in one

I am certain that your spin doctors and media machine will continue seeking ways for you and your disgraced legal team to save face in the community. I am also certain that your legal minds have no right of representation in the court of Almighty Allah on judgement day.

Repent whilst you are still able.

Give the Masaajid their rightful position again.

Follow your sin with a good deed so that you may raise your head before Allah- the All-knowing, the All-seeing.

Do you fear them? But Allah has more right that you should fear Him, if you are [truly] believers. Tawbah: 13

And to Allah belongs [all] honour, and to His Messenger, and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know. Munafiqun 8

Whoever desires honour (through power) – then to Allah belongs all honour. To Him ascends good speech, and righteous work raises it. But they who plot evil deeds will have a severe punishment, and the plotting of those – it will perish. Faatir 10

So, woe to those who write the “scripture” with their own hands, then say, “This is from Allah,” in order to exchange it for a small price. Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn. Baqarah 79

O Allah, show us the truth as true, and give us the ability to follow it. Show us falsehood as falsehood and give us the ability to abstain from it.
