Certain Masajids are removing the Quran Sharifs from the Shelves to “Prevent the virus from spreading”

In these times, they should instead be encouraging Tilawaat of Allah Ta”Allah’s Qalaam in the place most beloved to Him.

They should hang their heads in Shame!

Hadhrat Ibn Abbas (Radhiyallaho anho) has reported, “Hadhrat Jibra’eel (Alayhis salaam) once informed Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه و سلم) that many fit- nahs will certainly appear. Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه و سلم) asked, ‘What will be the way out, 0, Jibra’eel?’ He replied, ‘The Book of Allah.” To act upon the Book of Allah serves as a safeguard against fitnahs, and its blessed recitation is a means of relief from the evils. It has been mentioned in hadith (No 22) that if the Qur’an is recited in a house, peace and mercy descend upon it and Satan quits the place. The ‘ulama interpret fitnahs to mean the coming of Dajjaal (Islamic Anti-Christ), the invasion by the Tatars, and like incidents. A long riwaayat from Hadhrat Ali (Radhiyallaho anho) also includes the subject-matter of this hadith. It is mentioned in this riwaayat of Hadhrat ‘Ali (Rad- hiyallaho anho) that Hadhrat Yahya (Alayhis salaam) told the Israelites: “Allah orders you to read His Book, and if you do so, you will be like the people protected in a fort, so that on whichever side the enemy wants to attack you, he will find there the Word of Allah as a guard to repulse him. (Fazaail Amaal)

The Quran Sharif is a means of Shifa!

The Quran is a miracle that Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) revealed to His Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) and it is a blessing for humanity. The Quran is not only a guidance for mankind but Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) has also made it a means and a cure for physical, spiritual and psychological ailments of all kinds.  The Creator has clearly told us that the words of the Quran are a “shifa” (healing) for all; this form of treatment can bring miraculous cure to all forms of ailments, as has been reported from various authentic Islamic sources, including the Sunnah. However, as a part of a Muslim’s Aqeedah, doctrine or belief, we must realise that the Quran is a means to the cure and the one who cures is in reality Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) alone. This is the case whether we read the Quran, take a pill for a headache, use acupunture; or undergo an operation, the one who cures you is Allah (سبحانه و تعالى), the means we use are only a tool and we do not put our trust in them, except as a means.

Six Quranic Verses of Healing:  Ayat Ash-Shifa

And [God] shall heal the breast of the believers. (at-Tawba, 9:14)

Mankind there has come to you a guidance from your Lord and a healing for (the diseases) in your hearts, and for those who believe a guidance and a mercy. (Yunus, 10:57)

There issues from within the bodies of the bee a drink of varying colors wherein is healing for mankind. (an-Nahl, 16:69)

And We sent down in the Quran such things that have healing and mercy for the believers (an-Najm, 17:82)

And when I am ill, it is [God] who cures me.” (ash-Shu`ara, 26:80) (A supplication of Prophet Abraham [as])

And declare (O Muhammad) that [the Quran] is a guidance and healing for the believers. (al-Fussilat, 41:44)
