BISMILLAHIR-RAHMAANIR-RAHEEM

MISSION STATEMENT FROM

THE JAMIATUL-ULAMA GAUTENG

We offer infinite praises unto Allah Subhaanahu Wata’aala and glorify Him. Auspicious is His Name and Blessed is His remembrance. We acknowledge His Sovereignty and salute His Divinity. We surrender ourselves to His Divine Commands and submit ourselves to His Grand Wisdom. Gracious indeed is our Lord and Magnificent is His independence. Perfect is His Forgiveness and faultless is He in every Virtue. Kindness is His Specialty and Wise is His actions. Not a single Attribute does he lack nor a single blemish does He possess. By Him, in whose possession lies our souls, nor was there, nor is there nor will there be ever anyone Worthy of Worship except Him.

We offer heartfelt and perpetual Salaams (Salutations) and continuous Durood (Peace) unto the Seal of all the Prophets, Muhammed Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam. Splendid in physique, majestic in manners, compact in faith, imperial in patience, regal in adversity, grandiose in grief, tireless in worship, extravagant in poverty, humble in victory, companion of the friendless, comforter of widows, crown of the creation, delight of the Ambiya, the very one whom Allah Himself sought – such was our Noble Nabi Muhammed  Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam.

In 1407/ 2006, in a small farming town called De Deur, South Africa, a group of concerned Ulama, saddened by desperate state of the Ummah, formed the Jamiatul Ulama Gauteng. Amongst the factors identified causing immense confusion and bewilderment amongst the Muslim masses was the lack of clear and precise direction.

That Deen which Allah Ta’aala has made easy “And Allah intends to ease for you” (Paraah 2) and “Allah wishes to unburden you” (Paraah 5), has sadly been complicated. The forlorn Ummah is hopelessly lost. The clear Way to Allah is muddled, the Qur’aanic promise of a “pure life” for a Muslim in this worldly existence is a pipe dream, the zeal for Jannah has become almost non-existent, and the fear for Jahannum of absent. The root of this sad state is lack of Yaqeen and ignorance.

One would be pleasantly surprised what a little understanding of Deen can do. Hadhrat Moulana Maseehullah Rahmatullahi alayh once said that even straightening a towel in the Masjid is an act of Ibaadah. When the Masjid is respected, it attracts Allah’s Love, when Muslims are honoured, it nourishes brotherhood, when the Wudhu Khana is neatened it delights the Musallees – and the Deen is served. Subhanallah! Through removing ignorance and understanding Deen, a simple act of straightening a towel is transformed into such a huge grand and good deed.

Says Rasullullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam: “Whomsoever, Allah wishes good for, Allah Ta’aala grants him the understanding of Deen.” The criteria and benchmark for Allah’s Love is to be blessed with not only the knowledge of Deen but an understanding of Deen. And to achieve this, one does not necessarily need to attend a Darul-Uloom! Proper companionship coupled with sincerity and a bit of courage will Insha-Allah lead even the most ignorant, the most evil sinner and the most helpless soul towards knowledge, goodness and hope. With the understanding of Deen, no problem is unsolvable, no situation impossible and no difficulty insurmountable.

It is with this humble intention of imparting the understanding of Deen that a new Jamiat was born, which Insha-Allah, intends to firmly propagate and robustly preach the pristine Deen in accordance to The Shariah! This Jamiat, whilst avoiding petty conflict, will not turn and shy away from speaking the Haq! Whilst public support does bring forth joy, it nonetheless is not dependent upon such goodwill. For the sake of Allah it was born, for the sake of Allah it exists and whenever Allah wills, it’s demise will also, Insha-Allah be for His Sake.

This Jamiat is committed to the pristine Shariah of Allah Azza Wajal, dedicated to the pure Aqaa’id of the Ahle-Sunnah wal Jama’ah and devoted to the minutest of Sunnahs of Rasullullah Sallallahu alayhi Wasallam. The soul of this Jamiat is “Amr bil –Ma’roof and Nahi anil Munkar”, it’s fuel is the love of the Ummah, its mission to ease Deen and it’s motto: “Be good, do good”.

Insha-Allah Ta`ala, we will propagate our understanding of Deen through our publication, “The Shariah”, our Madrasah, Jamiah Masihiyyah Ashrifiyya, our website, our regular bayaans (discourses) and our literature, (many of which have already been published and accessible from this site).

May Allah Ta’aala grant Ikhlaas and Barkat in all its activities.

We request your Du’aas as well.

Was-Salaam
