A psychiatrist with twenty-five years of experience once said that the most common words he ever heard at the beginning of a period of emotional counseling were “If only . . .” People told stories of their suffering, tragedies, and reasons for their unhappiness, beginning with the words “If only . . .”

They said, “If only l had not taken that action, made that decision, accepted that job, invested in that company, or married that person.” It is sad how often regret over mistakes we have made in the past hold us back from taking advantage of the opportunities of the future.

One of the great secrets of success is to eliminate the phrase “if only” from your vocabulary. Never say those words again. Accept that whatever happened happened. Perhaps in retrospect it was unfortunate, but in any case, it is over and done with. It is a part of the past. It is a fact. It cannot be changed.
(achieve it to believe it)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
“A strong believer is better and dearer to Allah than a weak one, and both are good. Adhere to that which is beneficial for you. Keep asking Allah for help and do not refrain from it. If you are afflicted in any way, do not say: ‘If I had taken this or that step, it would have resulted into such and such,’ but say only: ‘Allah so determined and did as He willed.’ The word ‘if’ opens the gates of satanic thoughts”.
