INFLATION AND RISE IN THE COST OF LIVING

There is a story of the time of Hadhrat Maulana Muhammad Yusuf Saheb رَحِمَهُ اللّٰهُ that inflation increased a lot during his time. Some people came to Maulana and complained about inflation and asked: “SHALL WE PROTEST IN FRONT OF THE GOVERNMENT AND PRESENT OUR CASE?”

HADHRAT REPLIED TO THEM: “DEMONSTRATION IS THE WAY OF THE PEOPLE OF FALSEHOOD.”

Then he explained saying, “LOOK! Both man and things are like two scales in the sight of اللّٰه تَعَالٰى. When the value of man increases in the sight of اللّٰه تَعَالٰى DUE to faith and good deeds, then the scales of the value of things automatically becomes light in weight and therefore their price. decreases. And when the value of man in the sight of اللّٰه تَعَالٰى decreases due to the abundance of his sins and transgressions, then the weight of things becomes heavier and the prices of things increase.

Therefore, hard work, effort and improvement in faith and good deeds is necessary for you so that your value may increase in the sight of اللّٰه تَعَالٰى and the value of things may fall.”

THEN HE SAID:

“PEOPLE WARN AND SCARE MONGER ABOUT POVERTY EVEN THOUGH SCARE MONGERING ABOUT POVERTY IS A TRAIT OF THE SHAYTAAN.

BY اللّٰه تَعَالٰى! If a person’s livelihood is sealed in a rock in the depths of the sea, it will burst and his sustenance will continue to reach him.

INFLATION CANNOT STOP THE PROVISION WHICH اللّٰه تَعَالٰى HAS PRESCRIBED FOR YOU.”

MAY اللّٰه تَعَالٰى FORGIVE OUR SINS AND GRANT THE TAUFEEQ AND HIDAAYAH TO MAKE EFFORT ON IMAAN AND YAQEEN IN AMAAL!!
