Tel Aviv – A study issued by the Israeli “Yivat Media Research Group”, which monitors media coverage in the world, showed that Israel is the country mentioned most negatively in the American media compared to media coverage of other foreign countries, including Russia, which continues its war against Ukraine. “Israel became the worst country in the world following the war on Gazza.”

The study tracked 15.5 thousand reports in American media that covered events in Israel, China, Russia, Ukraine, North Korea and Saudi Arabia, between April 14
and May 14.

The study was based on keywords in hundreds of American media outlets, including news websites, newspapers, radio stations, television channels, and social networks.

[The results of the study were expressed in percentages of total media mentions, positive mentions, negative and neutral mentions. The percentage of English reports was also noted.]

Israel:
Total media mentions: 56.1%
Negative: 53.2%
Neutral: 43.2%
Positive: 3.6%
98.1% of reports were in English.

Ukraine:
Total mentions in the media: 15.2%
Negative: 19%
Neutral: 79.1%
Positive: 1.5%
98.1% of the reports were in English.

Russia:
Total mentions: 10.8%
Negative: 35.9%
Neutral: 60.1%
Positive: 4%
97.3% were in English.

China: (Considered an adversary of the United States)

Saudi Arabia , which is holding talks with the United States about a defense and security alliance in exchange for normalizing relations with Israel, was also mentioned:

The General Director of the Yifat Media Research Group, Minni Abrahami, pointed out that, “it is clear from the data that the reports in the United States about the war in Gazza are completely different from the reports published in Israel, and Israel is presented in a very negative light, and it seems that the reports from within Gazza includes difficult scenes.”

Abrahami added, “Our negative and biased media coverage can explain or may be a driver of many hate and anti-Semitic incidents, as they are expressed in some American universities and in demonstrations in many cities.”
