NEVER SPEAK LIES

Abdul Qadir Jilani Rahmatullahi Alaihi used to study at a madressah when he was young. One day, his mother gave him some gold coins. She sewed them on the inside of his clothing. As he was going she said to him , “My son, always speak the truth.” On his way, a gang of thieves attacked him and the people he was with. One of the thieves asked him, “Do you have any money?”

Abdul Qadir Jilani Rahmatullahi Alaihi replied, “Yes.” The thief was surprised and took him to the leader of the gang. When the leader saw him, he too was surprised because Abdul Qadir Jilani RA was not afraid to loose his money. He asked Abdul Qadir Jilani Rahmatullahi Alaihi, “Why did u speak the truth? Other people will lie to protect their money.” Abdul Qadir Jilani Rahmatullahi replied, “My mother always told me to speak the truth.” The leader was shocked. He thought to himself, “I am also a Muslim, but I do not listen to my Allah.” He and the gang of thieves then made tawbah and became good Muslims.

One who speaks the truth always wins.
