Are We Blind To The Occurrences Around Us?
The Quraan Majeed says:
“What! Are the people of the cities confident that Our Punishment will not overtake them during the night whilst they are sleeping?
What! Are the people of the cities confident that Our Punishment will not Overtake them during the day whilst they are indulging in amusement?
What! Are they negligent of the Scheme of Allah (that they are safe and sound and oblivious of His Athaab)? Only people who are losers will have (such) confidence.” (Qur’aan)
“And if you turn away, He (Allah) will bring another nation, and
you will not harm him the least bit.”
Can We Not See What Is Happening?
Divine Warnings-Wake Up O Muslim Ummah!
Nations do not get overturned in one night. Allah sends us warnings
first. If we do not heed to the warnings, then Allah’s whip strikes
with a mighty blow. All these happenings should drive a message home
that we are in trouble.
What trouble?
Allah Ta’ala tells us in the Quraan-e-Majeed that the destruction
caused in the Heavens and the earth is because of our doings. We are
sleeping on the warnings sounded to us. Allah is telling us to reform
and make taubah and turn to him.
Innocent
We might feel innocent because our hearts have become blinded by sin.
We feel that we do nothing wrong. Ulema justify their wrongs and
propagate it too. Can you believe that Television is made Halaal by
the Ulema, in the name of Islam. The appearance of women; the
daughters and mothers of Islam are modeled in front of all. Ambiya are
made into cartoons.
Time to take a lesson and change, O Muslim Ummah!

Instead of casting a blind eye to these warnings, an intelligent Muslim will open his eyes and derive lessons. An intelligent Muslim will wake up and start changing. Yes, start changing from now. Change in what?
The call of the hour: Change, Change, Change…
Change, his dressing from a Kaafir style shirt, suit and trouser to a simple Sunnah Kurtah with his trousers above his ankles and a Topi on his head.
Change, her tight fitting jeans, short sleeved top and loose hair to a Niqaab.
Change, from shaving his beard to keeping a Sunnah fist-length beard.
Change, from arranging an expensive, extravagant, ostentatious and massive wedding ceremony to a simple Sunnah Walimah.
Change, from wearing glittering, stylish and fashionable cloaks and Abaayas to a simple Abaaya and Purdah.
Change, from watching TV, various social media Apps, to spending quality family time.
Change, from frequenting cinemas to watch the latest films to engaging in the recital of the beautiful Kalaam of Allah Ta’ala, the Qur’aan Majeed.
Change, from listening to music, indulging in futility and following and liking Kuffaar and Mushrikeen actors and actresses on Facebook, YouTube and other social networks to adopting the simple Sunnah lifestyle of Nabi (Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) who cared for us, cried for us and made Du’a for us.
Change, from posing for photos, videos and selfies to deleting such pictures and encouraging others to do the same.
Change, from attending Haraam Souks, Haraam ‘Halaal’ Expos, Haraam Pre-Ramadhaan fairs, Haraam Eid Shopping Festivals and Haraam fashion extravaganzas,Haraam places, to remaining at home and avoiding sins which are done in the name of Islaam.
The Earth Has Tolerated Too Much Sins On Its Back…
The earth has tolerated sins committed on its back for too long. It has sought permission from its Rabb to shake the people walking on its back. The music, Zina and other major sins which have become part of our daily lives have become unbearable for the earth.
The time has now come for Muslims to start realizing their sins and resort to a sincere Taubah. The earth has sounded its warning in the form of tremors. If these warnings are ignored, perhaps the next warnings will not be as mild as these ones.
Therefore, the time has arrived for the Muslims to make a step forward in changing their ways, lifestyle, customs, weddings etc. before a severer Punishment of Allah Ta’ala apprehends us after alerting us with the milder ones.
“And turn in repentance to your Rabb and submit (to His Law) before there comes to you the punishment, then you will not be aided.” (Az-Zumar, Aayat 54)
“And follow that beautiful (Shariah and Sunnah) which have been revealed to you from your Rabb before there comes to you suddenly the Athaab whilst you do not perceive (and understand).”
(Az-Zumar, Aayat 55)
We ask Allah Ta’ala to save the Umma of South Africa from His Azaab and grant us Hidaayat to change our un-Islamic lifestyles, Aameen.
