THE CHICKEN SAGA
On the 2nd of April 2009, a panel of Ulama from the Jamiatul Ulama Gauteng undertook a surprise visit to the Early Bird Poultry Plant in Olifantsfontein (Midrand, Johannesburg). This Plant is certified ‘halaal’ by MJC and approved by SANHA.
On the 4th May 2009, SANHA announced on their Radio ‘Islam’ that this visit never took place. After Sanha realised that they could not cover-up this visit any longer, on the 11th May 2009, they admitted that the visit did take place, but offered all sorts of stories and lies to undermine the Jamiatul Ulama Gauteng and the Ulama that visited the Plant.
To date SANHA has not offered any apology for branding the Jamiatul Ulama Gauteng liars!
