The Beautiful Voice and Personality of Imaam Shaafi’

Imaam Shaafi’ (Rahmatullahi alaih) had a beautiful voice. Bahr Bin Nasr Khowlaani says: “During the time of Imaam Shaafi’ (Rahmatullahi alaih) I did not find anyone more fearing of Allah, aloof from the dunya and a more beautiful reciter of the Qur’aan than him. In spite of him being soft in nature he commanded much awe. [In other words people feared him much.]”
