Imaam Shaafi’ was a dutiful student of Imaam Maalik (Rahmatullahi alaihima). Imaam Shaafi’ was asked: “Did you see such a personality as Imaam Maalik in you other Asaatizah?”
Imaam Shaafi’ replied: “Those who are my seniors in age and Ilm say that they did not see such a personality as Imaam Maalik. So where would I see!?”
