Fiddling with clothes

Question: We find in our Masjid, Moulana’s especially who fiddle with their clothes and beard in Salaat. They flick off cotton from their clothes too. Is this practice permissible?
Answer: No, this is a very serious error. It is makrooh to do those things you have mentioned. If someone looks at the person doing those things in salaat and hinks that the person is not in salaat then the salaat of the Moulana will be faasid.
