Continuous Zikr
Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, “The contrast between a person who glorifies Allah and one who does not remember Him is like that between the living and the dead.” (Bukhari and Muslim)
Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, “Those who are admitted to paradise will not regret over anything of this world, except the time spent without zikr in their life.” (Bayhaqi)
Commentary:
The importance of perpetual Zikr in the life of a Muslim cannot sufficiently be emphasised. Blessed are those who Allah has granted them the awareness and concern to keep their tongues wet with His remembrance. In another hadith it is mentioned that the person who remains in the obedience of Allah is a Zaakir (one engaged in Allah’s remembrance). Hence a sincere Muslim should endeavour to spend every moment of this precious yet short life in the complete remembrance of his creator.
