Rasullullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam’s Love for his Ummah!

Once when Hadhrat Aye’sha Radiallahu anha found Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam extremely cheerful, she said to him: “O Messenger of Allah, make du’aa to Allah for me.”

Rasullullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam made du’aa: “O Allah forgive all of Aye’sha’s past and future sins, what she has hidden as well as what she had made apparent.”

So profound was the joy and elation of Hadhrat Aye’sha Radiallahu anha that her head fell into her lap.

Rasullullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam’s inquired from her: “O Aye’sha, has my du’aa made you happy?”

She replied: “And how can your Du’aa not make me happy?”

Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam then said: “By Allah, I make this du’aa for my Ummah in every Salaah!”

(As-Silsilah as –Sahihah)

How wonderfully fortunate, are we not, to be in the Ummah of such a compassionate Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)?

Who amongst us asks Allah Ta’aala in every Salaah to forgive all our past and future hidden and apparent sins?

The least we can do is to send a thousand Durood to Rasullullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam.

Respected brothers and sisters, at any time we could be asked to disembark from this worldly train. The time for good deeds would be over.

On the day of Qiyamah, the person who read the most Durood will be the closest to Rasullullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam. Everyone in the World is searching for “contacts”. How fortunate will that person  be who made contact with Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam through Durood and Salaam a thousand times, daily !

Reading one Durood earns a person:

1) Ten special mercies from Allah Ta’aala

2) Ten trees in Jannah

3) Ten sins are forgiven

4) Ten rewards are accrued

5) Ten stages are increased

6) Above all, the Durood is conveyed to Allah’s Rasul (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam).

At a time when the Ummah has abandoned his teachings and Sunnah, at a time when the Ummah is in turmoil, this brings great joy to him (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam).

An easy manner to recite the thousand Durood:

Keep a Tasbeeh at hand. Keep one in the car, keep one in the pocket, keep one at the bedside.

Whilst traveling to and fro during your day, recite a few, say five Tasbihs. If one is traveling with others, put the hand in the pocket and recite the Tasbih. Whilst lying down, read another three Tasbihs. Whilst walking recite another two Tasbihs. In short, as time permits, try and complete the ten Tasbihs. Within a total of half an hour, Insha-Allah, ten Tasbihs could be recited. The briefest form of Durood is “Sallalllahu Alayhi Wasallam”. Stick to this format and it will be of benefit.

An interesting story:

A certain person was very, very unwell. The doctors gave up hope for his recovery. The family members gathered to bid him farewell. The person, despite his severe sickness, laughed and told everyone firmly that he was going to get better. Alhamdulillah, he thereafter recovered.

A few months thereafter he became a little unwell. No one was much concerned. He called his family and informed them that he was now about to depart for the Aakhirah. They were somewhat surprised and wanted to know why he was so sure that his ending was near. After all, he was now not as sick as he previously was?

The person replied: “I have been reciting a thousand Durood daily. In the Hadith it has been mentioned that a person who recites a thousand Durrod daily will not pass way until he sees his palace in Jannah.

A few months ago I was very unwell and very close to dying. However, I had not seen my palace in Jannah. As such I was convinced that I would live. Alhamdulillah, I have now seen my palace and understand that I am now about to leave the world.”

The person thereafter passed away.

May Allah Ta’aala grant us all the Taufeeq to pluck up the courage and seriously invest in some deeds in our accounts in the Aakhirah. Durood to the aching heart of Rasullullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam is one of the most fabulous, rewarding and easiest deeds! So start “banking” now, for many are the ones who waited in vain for tomorrow.
