⚠️ PUBLIC WARNING: PRESERVING OUR DEEN FROM MODERNIST DEVIATION ⚠️

We are deeply concerned by the increasing trend of modernist, liberal-leaning individuals — many of whom hold positions of religious influence — being welcomed into our communities and institutions. One such figure, Dr. Omar Suleiman, has been invited under the banner of the so-called “Ulama Program” backed by figures in the U.S. and endorsed locally by certain organizations such as JUSA and others.

This individual has openly supported views and actions that are clearly in conflict with Islamic teachings and Shariah. His involvement in events with LGBTQ activists, participation in interfaith rituals that blur the lines of Tawheed, and public behavior that includes frequent intermingling, questionable associations, and tasweer (photography) — all raise serious concerns about the image and message being portrayed to the Ummah, especially to our young and upcoming Ulama.

📛 Our religion is not one of compromise on core principles. When individuals openly support ideologies that contradict Qur’an and Sunnah, we must not stay silent. The Shariah commands us to uphold truth and reject falsehood. Promoting or honoring such individuals risks misleading the public, weakening Imaan, and normalizing actions that Allah Ta’ala has clearly forbidden.

➡️ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; if he cannot, then with his tongue; and if he cannot, then with his heart—and that is the weakest of faith.” [Muslim]

We call on our respected senior Ulama, as well as sincere students of Deen, to speak out clearly and courageously. This is not the time for silence. The masses too must be vigilant—do not accept every speaker or scholar at face value. Study their views, scrutinize their alliances, and ask: Are they leading us closer to Allah, or drifting us towards compromise and confusion?

📿 Let us return to Islam as it was practiced by the Sahabah and the righteous Ulama of the past—not a version reshaped by political pressure or modernist interpretations.

🕋 May Allah Ta’ala protect our communities from deviation, guide our Ulama with courage and sincerity, and awaken the Ummah to the realities we face.

وَاللَّهُ يَهْدِي مَن يَشَاءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
“And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.” [Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:213]
