Mas’ala of Sulook, that after ones Sheikh passes away, within three days, you should hand yourself over to another person. It is a mas’ala of sulook, not a mas’ala of Sharia.

It’s like this. Once we were drinking tea in Jalalabad and with our Hazrat (Moulana Maseehullah رحمه الله)

So one person took his tea and poured it into the saucer. You know how they have it. They have the habit of cooling in the saucer and then drinking. So Hazrat (Moulana Maseehullah رحمه الله)

saw that and he commented, okay “It is not permissible to pour your tea into the saucer and drink it. This person was worried now, he kept quiet. After a while Hazrat (رحمه الله) says, “this is in the Mazhab of the Chai” It’s not a shariah mazhab it’s the mazhab of the chai.

Hazrat رحمه الله  meant its in the the etiquette of drinking tea ,you should not put your tea in the saucer. So in the same way, here in the Mazhab of Sulook, you should, not compulsory, but you should hand yourself or find another person  after your Sheikhs death. But it is not something that is compulsory.
