Imaam Shaafi’ (Rahmatullahi alaih) was tall, light in complexion and handsome. He had a high bridged nose and his cheeks where lean. His habit was to dye his beard with mendhi (henna powder). His teeth were not tightly compressed; there were fine spaces in-between.
