“Worries and Debts have overcome me”.
السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركات
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Saeed Khudri ( radiallahu anhu ) that a man said, “Oh Messenger of Allah, Worries and Debts have overcome me”.Nabi (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said “Should I not teach you a Dua, if you say it, Allah will remove your worries and fulfill your debts.” The man said, “Yes”. Nabi(صلى الله عليه وسلم) then said, “Say when you awake in the morning and at evening:
اَلَّلهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحُزْنِوَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَ الْكَسَلِوَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِن غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ وَقَهْرِ الرِّجَالِ
Oh Allah I seek your protection from grief, and I seek your protection from incapability and laziness and I seek your protection from miserliness and cowardice, and I seek your protection from being overpowered with debts and being overpowered by man. The man said, “I made this dua, then Allah removed my grief and fulfilled my debts”. (Mishkaat Pg 215
“But ask forgiveness of your Lord and turn unto Him (in repentance): for my Lord is indeed Full of mercy and loving-kindness.”(11;90)
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: If anyone continually asks pardon, Allah will appoint for him a way out of every distress, and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide for him from where he did not reckon. (Abu Dawud)
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم)ا ) said: “By Allah! I ask for forgiveness from Allah and turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times a day.” ( Bukhari)
“Astaghfirullah” – “I seek Allah’s forgiveness.” (Muslim)
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم would say: “Astaghfiruka wa atoobu ilaik” – “I seek Your forgiveness and return unto You.” (Ahmad, Muslim, at-Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud .)
