The Virtue of Reciting Bismillah and Kalimah Shahaadah When Making Wudhu

- It comes in the Hadeeth that a person who recites Bismillah at the time of making wudhu, (reciting Bismillah Walhamdulillah is more meritorious), and then recites Ash-hadu allaa ilaaha Illallaahu Wahdahu laa shareeka lahu wa Ash-hadu anna Muhammadan Abduhu wa Rasooluhu upon washing each part of the body in wudhu, and then upon completing his/her wudhu recites: Allaahumaj ‘alnee minat Tawwaabeen waj ‘alnee minal Mutatahhireen, then when this person dies all Eight Doors of Jannat are opened for him/her. He/she may enter Jannat from whichever Door he/she wishes. (Ihya-us Sunan – Behshti Zewar)
