When Fame Approached, Humility Increased: An Incident of Hazrat Sayed Kabir Raafā’i Rahmatullāh ‘Alayh

“Our Ulama e kiraam , Akaabireen were very careful and particular they made sure that they did not project themselves as great persons as pious persons as is the habit of many persons”

Everybody wants to become big and they do things which will make people feel that his great.
Even mashaaiq and Ulama e kiraam are involved in this

Our people, our Hazrat were very careful they tried to save people from this.

Incident of Hazrat Moulana Sayed Kabir Raafài Rahmatullāh ‘Alayh
▪︎ When he went to Medina Munawarah to the mazaar of Rasool e paak (ﷺ) , he sang in verse form ” When I was far away I used to send my rooh to you to kiss the ground where you were buried now that I’m here myself, give me your hand.

Immediately from the qabar of Rasool e Paak (ﷺ) his hand came out and he shook hands and his hand went back.
This scene was witnessed by over 90000 people

And in that were great Qutub , Ghaus and Abdal.

One buzrook was later on asked , ” Did you not feel any rashq in this?”

You know what is Rashq, one is jealousy the other one is Rashq.

In jealousy you burn in such a way that you want that person must lose what he has and it must come to me.

In Rashq you don’t have the burning feeling, you happy for him, but you also desire the same for yourself, this is called Rashq and this is permissible.

Somebody asked him did you not feel any Rashq when you saw this that Rasoolullah (ﷺ) hand came out for him.

In other words did you not desire that it must come out for you?
He replied, who am I to make Rashq, even the farishta were making Rashq, those paak, zaat , those paak creation they were making Rashq.

Now Hazrat Sayed Kabir Rafà Rahmatullāh ‘Alayh , when he regained his composure and consciousness from this event, you can imagine what happened to him when the Mubarak hands touched his hands

When he came back into hosh , he addresses all the people, he takes a qasam of Allah Subhana Ta’la and he says ” I command each and every one of you to walk over me, So he laid himself down at the door of the exit of the masjid and everybody started walking over him, this because he knew this one incident is going to give him so much name and fame that immediately he started looking at ways and means to reduce that name and fame and this is what he decided. So he writes over here that there were lots and lots of people who started walking trampling over him as they started walking out.

Some other buzroogan e deen who refused to do this said ” If we do this, then Allah Ta’las azaab will decent onto us, so this was the shaan of the buzroogan e deen.

Their humility, their fanaa and bè nafsi , you found that along with whatever they did they always were concerned about the treatment of their nafs.

If the nafs put them into any position of prominence they immediately made ilaaj of it.

Those people, those Mashaaiq who are negligent must take lessons
