Will the teacher be responsible?

Question: A teacher in a certain Madrassah in whose jurisdiction something was, got damaged or lost. Will he be responsible for the loss of property? If so, can we deduct the loss from his salary?

Answer: If he took maximuim precaution that the item does not get damaged or lost, and then it does, he will not be responsible for the loss. The amount cannot be deducted from his salary.
